DailyQ #66: How do I create a network of friends interested in entrepreneurship?

Where do I find friends who are into motivation entrepreneurship and how do I create a network? In this week’s series special, Troy Hoffman gives his advice on how to build a core peer group. They say that you are the average of the people you surround yourself with. This here, folks, is a game-changer.

There are four stages of learning:

  • Unconsciously incompetent
  • Consciously incompetent
  • Unconsciously competent
  • Consciously competent

When you're unconsciously incompetent, you just don't know what you just don't know. When you are around a motivation group of people who are focused on constantly growing, they will expose to you the fact of just how much you do not know. And if you want to elevate your life, you have to get around these type of people. They will fire you up. The energy is contagious.

I suggest you get into a group or mastermind of like-minded people with the same sixed business that you have. I do this and it is amazing how much I learn from other people sharing their experiences, their failure, their successes. You're gonna learn mindsets and skillsets that that'll for forever change your life. While you’re there, sit back and listen. There is a time to teach and a time to learn. The more you talk, the less you learn.

We need to be exposed to things we don’t know. Literally start googling events and meetups in your area. If you’re out of the country, you may have to stick to an online connection, but in today’s world, there is always a way to connect. It’s a game changer. Make it happen.

Have you joined groups that can help you grow?
