DailyQ #49: Top three things a CEO must do

What are the top three things a CEO must do? In today’s episode of “The Daily Question,” Troy Hoffman breaks down how business owners can identify what area of their company they need to focus on. And it all comes down to these key points:

  • What stage of growth is your company in?
  • What type of company are you running?
  • How many employees do you have?

I get asked this question quite often in a few different ways. There is no cut-and-dry answer because every business is different and where focus points are constantly changing.

In the beginning years of your business, there is going to be a lot of trial and error – sometimes expensive errors. And there will be a lot of apologies. There’s no way around it. It’s all part of the process.

The three main categories people talk about are:

  1. Sales
  2. Operations
  3. Growth and Vision

Get clear in these areas. Make a detailed 30, 60 and 90 day plan. Then take action! Measure you results, then course-correct as needed.

Ask yourself, what area of your business needs to be focused right now for maximum growth?

Now go and live your destiny!
