Life Comes Full Circle. Do We Want What's Coming To Us?

The older I get the more I realize that the good and the bad I did when I was younger comes back to me.⠀

Yes, the great work I did has come back to me.⠀
⠀
But the times I hid and slacked off and took advantage of situations…⠀
⠀
They came back to me too.⠀
⠀
My lifeguard captains at work would push me to constantly up my game. ⠀
⠀
All day in freezing weather, my lifeguard captains at work would push us ‘till people DROPPED out of training. ⠀
⠀
They would discipline us if the beaches were completely empty and we weren’t picking up trash. ⠀
⠀
When the beaches were packed, they made sure our heads were moving and scanning the water all day. ⠀
⠀
They’d say things like, “If you aren’t on top of things when they are slow you won’t be ready when they are busy.” ⠀
⠀
And, “The way you act in the small things will reflect how you do the big things.”⠀
⠀
Now...⠀
⠀
I watch every detail and it drives my teams crazy.⠀
⠀
I handle the smallest things with the utmost care.⠀
⠀
I can withstand any challenge and train those around me to sustain too. ⠀
⠀
I deal with people all the time that are weak in areas I was weak.⠀
⠀
That slack like I slacked...⠀
⠀
That perform the way I used to perform…⠀
⠀
If you truly want to lead…⠀
⠀
If you want your people to do more…⠀
⠀
Then you must BE more.⠀
⠀
Live at the HIGHEST levels of commitment!!⠀
⠀
YOUR fire must be lit first.
