Your Pain Is Your Path

Immediately I'm reminded of The Obstacle is the Way by Ryan Holiday, which is a fantastic read.

When we started the first company, the obstacles in my way were all the challenges in our database, automation, data, tracking, and mailing.

These failures early on have driven us to build the most elite software platform in our industry.

Our investment in software, tech, and systems will drive our growth for the next decade in massive ways all because of the challenges we faced early on in this industry.

Where literally at times tears would be streaming down my face as I begged God to help us out of this situation.

Hitting the steering wheel in anger that someone fucked something up that I would have to go ask for forgiveness for.

Screaming out a window at 3 am driving back from another marketing run after looking at angry emails from customers for the first time that day and being so freaking angry at my team for screwing up yet another job.

Because this PAIN WAS SO GREAT FROM ALL THESE MISTAKES I VOWED TO BUILD THE BEST FREAKING SYSTEM IN THE WORLD SO I WOULDN’T HAVE TO DEAL WITH THIS LEVEL OF PAIN EVER AGAIN.

THE OBSTACLE TRULY BECAME THE WAY FOR ME.

We're now microscopic in diagnosing issues.

If we didn't screw up errors that cost hundreds of thousands, we wouldn't have built the security measures and artificial intelligence that enhance our quality of service today.

We wouldn’t have the GENIUS TEAM WE HAVE IN SIMPLURIS TODAY IF WE HADN’T LOST HUNDREDS OF THOUSANDS OF DOLLARS IN LOSES FROM MISTAKES BY NOT INVESTING.

As a result, our customers love the attention to detail we have now, and our SERVICE/SYSTEM/PEOPLE ARE BETTER FOR IT.

Because #DETAILSMATTER!

Where in your life have you failed and found opportunity or lessons in the obstacle?

We fail every day of our lives.

We get angry, say the wrong things, and make poor business decisions, but the key to success is learning to build around your failures.

The purpose of life, in general, is truly expansion.

Where do you need to expand in your life from your failures?

THE OBSTACLE IS MORE THAN THE WAY.

IT’S THE LIGHT THAT ILLUMINATES THE PATH OF YOUR DESTINY!
