DailyQ #11: Why is scheduling out the week so important?
Why is it so important to schedule out your entire week? Troy Hoffman explains as life gets more complex, responsibilities expand, and ideas pile up, meticulous scheduling becomes even more important. You better understand your tasks, realistic timelines, and priorities.
Every stage of life requires a different stage of you.
One of the best ways to control life is to get realistic about what can get done in a 7-day timeframe. Knowing how much sleep you need starts each day with your body on an efficient cycle. Schedule the time you wake up, go to sleep, and everything in between. The more you stack brings a realization of the time required to accomplish tasks.
What you say you are going to do - you actually will do!
You get realistic on time to avoid overcommitment and produce results. Create the credibility within yourself, so you can drive things forward. Every day will bring chaos, it never ends, but creating structure gives yourself the stability necessary to crush the day.
What are you going to schedule in each area of your life - your body, being, balance and business? Daily battles will consume hours of your day, but the calendar will get you past the mental B.S. and prevent you from getting bogged down. Make time for your wife and kids so you continue to build deep connections. Calendaring out helps move your life forward!
Then next week ask yourself: How can I add more? How can I do more? How can I be more? How can I achieve more? How can I impact more? This process will create the clarity that moves all areas of your life forward.
Choose what you want to do and where you want to go. Map out your week and it will truly liberate you.
Now go and live your destiny!
